Yajood ("we", "us", "our") operates the Yajood mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, username, phone number, date of birth, gender, and profile picture.
  • Location data: your GPS location and selected commune/province when you create or browse listings.
  • Content you create: donations, requests, exchanges, chat messages, reviews, reports, and media you upload.
  • Device information: device identifier and platform for delivering push notifications.
  • Third-party sign-in: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from that provider.

2. How we use your information

  • Operate the service — matching donors with recipients, facilitating chats and reservations.
  • Show nearby listings based on your location.
  • Send push notifications about relevant activity.
  • Moderate content and enforce community guidelines.
  • Calculate reputation scores based on your activity.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app: cloud storage for media, Google Firebase for push notifications, an email provider for verification and password resets, and Google/Facebook only during sign-in if you choose social login. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect user safety.

4. What other users can see

Your username, profile picture, reputation score, and the listings you create are visible to other users. Chat messages are private between the two participants.

5. Data security

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data. Passwords are stored using secure one-way hashing and are never stored in plain text.

6. Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app, or request deletion at any time by emailing support@yajood.app. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
